Computer and Mathematical Occupations drive auto hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Computer and Mathematical Occupations, which accounted for 8% of the total new job postings in Q2 2023 and were down by 28% year-on-year. Second highest were Life, Physical, and Social Science Occupations, which accounted for 4% and rise by 52% year-on-year, and third highest were Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which were 158% of the new job postings and 0% flat growth year-on-year.
Top five companies in auto accounted for 60% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Robert Bosch with 157, followed by General Motors with 109, while the highest increase was at Renault at 43%.
